Ilu Agere, Agere Drum, Agere Ifa

One very important drum in Yoruba is the Agere (Ogun drum). All the deities in Yoruba land have their specific ritual drums and that of Ogun is known as the “Agere”. This is said to be the drum set Ogun admired the most when he was still alive physical body, as a keen hunter, patron of the blacksmiths and art lover, Agere was one of the only drums he would ever dance to.
